Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend this year was pretty laid back, and it was so great. Saturday was Drew's graduation mass. Then on Sunday we headed up to Aaron & Sarah's for their annual race day party. Where we usually don't watch the race. ha! The weather was pretty nice this year except for a short rain shower. But I'll take that any day over last year. Last year it was so flippin hot and I was pregnant. I think I spent most of the day inside or with my feet in the baby pool under an umbrella.

Monday we spent the entire day just hanging out at home and doing whatever we wanted. It was just what we needed. We rode bikes, threw rocks in the creek, picked strawberries and we all took a nap.

Abi slipped and fell in the mud walking down to the creek. And of course she was wearing white pants.
Not sure what I was thinking on that one. Did it come out, you ask? No. But I'm not giving up.
So if anyone knows how to get rid of mud stains, please share!

And of course we can't forget the reason we had such a nice long weekend. We are thankful for all the men and women who serve our country past and present. Especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. It's easy to take for granted how blessed we are to enjoy the freedoms we have.
